Refund Policy
Refund, cancellation, and rescheduling terms for Redwood Field Advisors consulting engagements.
Effective date: 1 January 2025
Last updated: 1 January 2025
This Refund Policy applies to advisory engagements with Redwood Field Advisors Co., Ltd. (“Redwood Field Advisors,” “we”) including franchise readiness assessments, expansion reviews, operations audits, and training systems reviews. Website use is free; this policy governs paid consulting services.
1. Scope
This policy does not apply to third-party services (legal counsel, franchise brokers, marketing vendors) that clients engage separately.
2. Engagement confirmation
An engagement begins when both parties sign an engagement letter and the client pays the initial deposit specified in that letter.
3. Cancellation by client
Before document collection begins: If you cancel after signing but before we begin document review or scheduling field visits, we refund the deposit minus a TWD 5,000 administrative fee.
After document collection or visit scheduling begins: The deposit is non-refundable. Work completed up to the cancellation date is billed per the engagement letter; remaining prepaid amounts for undelivered milestones may be refunded.
After field visits occur: No refund of fees attributable to completed field days, travel, or analysis already performed.
4. Rescheduling
Field visit dates may be rescheduled once without penalty if requested at least 10 business days before the scheduled visit. Rescheduling within 10 business days may incur TWD 8,000 per deferred visit day to cover staff and travel rebooking costs.
Briefing calls and report delivery meetings may be rescheduled with 24-hour notice.
5. Cancellation by Redwood Field Advisors
We may cancel an engagement if:
- The client fails to provide required documents or site access after two written reminders
- Safety or legal concerns arise at visit locations
- Conflicts of interest are discovered that we cannot mitigate
In such cases, we refund fees for undelivered milestones minus work completed and non-recoverable costs.
6. Deliverable disputes
If you believe a deliverable does not match the signed scope, notify us within 14 days of delivery. We will review against the engagement letter. If scope gaps exist, we will correct deliverables or provide a partial credit toward remediation work—not a cash refund unless correction is impossible.
7. Non-refundable items
The following are non-refundable once incurred:
- Consultant travel and accommodation within Taiwan
- Third-party data purchases approved in writing
- Completed on-site observation days
- Delivered written reports and briefing sessions
8. Deposits and no-shows
Deposits apply to the engagement total. Client no-shows for scheduled field visits without rescheduling per Section 4 forfeit the deposit portion allocated to that visit day.
9. Refund processing
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method. Wire transfer refunds may require banking details confirmation.
10. Partial refunds
Partial refunds may apply when:
- We mutually agree to reduce scope before field work begins
- Engagements end early by mutual written agreement
Partial refunds are calculated against milestones not yet delivered.
11. Work already started
Once analysis or report drafting begins for a milestone, fees for that milestone are not refundable even if the final report has not been delivered.
12. Materials purchased on behalf of client
If we purchase materials or data on your behalf with prior approval, those costs are non-refundable once purchased.
13. Exceptions
Exceptions require written approval by Redwood Field Advisors management and are rare.
